Hairstylist and artist Lebogang Motaung will exhibit work that speaks to and highlights black hair as a form of identification, self-actualisation, and symbol of beauty in reference to pre-colonial African norms. Her work is a celebration of African culture, hair, and fashion. This exhibition will include work that the artist produced in residency under the AL Women in Art Residency Program of 2023, as well as other recent artworks. The exhibition is presented in association with the Azael Langa Foundation.
